Dismissal • Student Drop-Off Pick-up Morning Drop-Off:
Parents may drop students off in front of the school on 8 Street. The process is simple, just pull up to the flag area. Your child may exit your vehicle at any point along the path and immediately walk on the sidewalk to the entrance of the school of their designated grade level. You must stay in line behind the car in front of you.
You may not pass a car and please do not honk your horn. Also, please refrain from using your cell phone during drop off and pick up. This is for the children’s safety.
STUDENTS MAY NOT BE DROPPED OFF BEFORE 8:00 AM. AT NO TIME MAY PARENTS USE THE STAFF PARKING LOT TO DROP OFF THEIR CHILD. THIS IS NOT PERMITTED AND IS A SAFETY VIOLATION.
Breakfast: Breakfast is free for all students. Students will be allowed to have breakfast beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Please have your child take advantage of this free opportunity.
Student Schedule for Pre-K/1: 8:35 a.m.-2:05 p.m.
Student Schedule for 2-5: 8:35 a.m. – 3:05 p.m.
ALL STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 2:05 PM EVERY WEDNESDAY.
Dismissal: Students whose parents’ pick them up from school will be dismissed by a teacher assigned to “parent pick up” responsibility. This may or may not be your child’s homeroom teacher. The parent pick-up area will be on 8 Street in their designated point of entry. Students who are transported by bus or remain in the YWCA program will be escorted to the cafeteria by a school staff member. Early Dismissal Including in the case of divorced separated or unmarried parents, the enrolling parent shall indicate on the Emergency Student Data Form the individual(s) to whom the student may be released during the school day.
