The staff, parents, and community of Hialeah Elementary believe that all students can learn and achieve mastery of fundamental skills. Hialeah Elementary Community School was built in 1949. The school is typical of buildings built in the 30’s and 40’s, provides a lovely, cozy atmosphere for learning. The school is located at 550 E. 8 street, Hialeah, Florida. The surrounding area is comprised primarily of single-family homes. The majority of families earn middle-income, blue-collar wages. This community profile has remained consistent for the past twelve years. In addition to successful
business partnerships, the school has a very productive PT A which is supported by a high degree of parent/community involvement.
